20 Trees for 20 Years
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival we are sponsoring the planting of 20 native Irish tress at Laragh Co Wicklow with the Native Woodland Trust.
The Laragh site is a 20-acre site overlooking Annamoe, and boasts fantastic views, and is situated beside the Wicklow Way. The site slopes downwards to the south-east, and the elevation varies from approximately 300m at the bottom to 360m at the top.
The Native Woodland Trust is dedicated to the preservation of Ireland’s remaining ancient woodlands. They are also committed to the restoration of Ireland’s original climax ecosystem, through the re-creation of woodlands, using only native seed.
