Get ready to light up the festival parade with your very own illuminated creation!
Join spectacle artist Selene Murphy for a hands-on workshop where participants will design and build colourful glowing headpieces inspired by nature, imagination and the mysterious creatures of the Otherworld.
Using willow, paper, cardboard, tape and other creative materials, children will transform simple everyday objects into extraordinary wearable artworks. Each lantern hat will be lit from within, creating a magical glow perfect for evening celebrations and festival fun.
Drawing inspiration from the natural world and the creatures that once roamed it, participants will be encouraged to imagine ancient beasts, mythical animals and otherworldly organisms, bringing them back to life through colour, light and creativity.
Part craft workshop, part artistic adventure, this is a fantastic opportunity to create something unique, expressive and full of Halloween magic.
Participants will leave with their own illuminated headpiece ready to wear and enjoy during the festival.
