Where the Shapeshifters Meet – Collage Workshop with Aishling Martin, Friday October 30th, 11am – 1pm, Free Drop-In Workshop
Suitable for Ages 7+ (younger children welcome with adult supervision)
From gods and goddesses to witches, sorcerers and magical creatures, shapeshifters have appeared in myths, legends and folklore across the world for centuries.
Join artist Aishling Martin for a creative drop-in workshop exploring these fascinating characters and the animals that feature in stories from different cultures and traditions. Drawing inspiration from mythology, folklore and imagination, participants will create their own wondrous shapeshifting creatures and enchanted landscapes using a combination of drawing, collage and simple printing techniques.
Whether your creature transforms into a bird, a fox, a dragon or something entirely new, this workshop encourages creativity, storytelling and artistic exploration in a fun and welcoming environment.
Perfect for young artists, curious minds and lovers of myths and magic, this free workshop offers an opportunity to create, experiment and bring fantastical worlds to life.
Please wear old clothes, as printing inks will be used. While washable, they may stain light-coloured clothing.
